* Choose from Fortitude, Reflex and Will saves. The Professional gets one of them at a higher bonus (must be selected at character creation or, in the case of multi-classing, when the first level of the class is selected).
GAME RULE INFORMATION
Professionals have the following game statistics.
Abilities: Intelligence and Wisdom are very important.
Hit Die: d6.
The professional's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Craft (Int), Knowledge (local), Profession (Wis), and up to 10 of choice at character creation.
The choices (and the key ability for each skill) are Appraise (Int), Balance (Dex), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Concentration (Con), Decipher Script (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Disable Device (Int), Disguise (Cha), Escape Artist (Dex), Forgery (Int), Gather Information (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Hide (Dex), Intimidate (Cha), Jump (Str), Knowledge (3 for all; arcane, architecture & engineering, geography, history, nature, nobility and royalty, the planes, religion) (Int), Listen (Wis), Move Silently (Dex), Open Lock (Dex), Perform (Cha), Pick Pocket (Dex), Ride (Dex), Search (Int), Seduction (Cha), Sense Motive (Wis), Speak Language, Spellcraft (Int), Spot (Wis), Survival: Urban (Wis), Survival: Wilderness (Wis), Swim (Str), Tumble (Dex), Use Rope (Dex). Note: Any other non-magical knowledge should be in-class at the DM's approval.
Skill Points at 1st Level: (6 + Int modifier) x 4.
Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 6 + Int modifier.
All of the following are class features of the Professional.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A professional is proficient with all simple weapons and light armor. Note that armor check penalties for armor heavier than leather apply to the skills Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Pick Pocket, and Tumble. Also, Swim checks suffer a -1 penalty for every 5 pounds of armor and equipment carried.
Bonus Feats: Professionals gain bonus feats at 1st, 3rd, 8th, 11th, 16th and 18th levels. These feats can consist of any feat that the character qualifies for.
Skill Focus: Professionals gain the feat Skill Focus at 6th, 13th and 20th levels. Each of these must apply to a different skill.
