GAME RULE INFORMATION

Priests have the following game statistics.

Abilities: Intelligence and Wisdom. Wisdom is the primary ability used to determine bonus spells and saving throws for Magi's spells. Intelligence will affect the number of skill points the character gets per level and both will be important for skills.

Alignment: Any.

Hit Die: d6.

Class Skills:

The priest's class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Concentration (Con), Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge* (arcana, local, religion) (Int), Profession (Wis), Spellcraft (Int). See Chapter 4: Skills in the Player's Handbook for skill descriptions.

Skill Points at 1st Level: (4 + Int modifier) x 4.
Skill Points at Each Additional Level: 4 + Int modifier.

Class Features:

All of the following are class features of the Priest.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Priest is proficient with all Simple Weapons and Light Armor. A priest is also always considered to be proficient with his dieties favored weapon. Note that armor check penalties for armor heavier than leather apply to the skills Balance, Climb, Escape Artist, Hide, Jump, Move Silently, Pick Pocket, and Tumble. Also, Swim checks suffer a -1 penalty for every 5 pounds of armor and equipment carried.

War Domain modification: Instead of the domain ability listed in the Player's Handbook the War Domain gives the priest proficiency with Medium armor and all Shields.

Spells: A priest casts divine spells. He is limited to a certain number of spells of per day, according to his class level. A priest's spells refresh along with his body, mind, and spirit by getting a good night's sleep and spending an hour in devotion to his diety.

To learn or cast a spell, a priest must have a Wisdom of 10 + the spell's level. The Difficulty Class for saving throws against priest spells is 10 + the level of the spell + the priest's Wisdom modifier.

A priest may cast a lower level spell (of a level he has no available slots) by substituting a spell slot of a higher spell level.

Eschew Spell Preperation: Spells need not be prepared ahead of time.

Turn or Rebuke Undead: Same as for Cleric.
